" A mode to wrest items from the sea's grip. "
–Wendy
The Trawl Net is a Boat attachment from the Shipwrecked DLC. It is crafted from 3 Rope and two Bamboo and must be prototyped at the Science Machine. Information technology is besides a reward from the Yaarctopus in exchange for Bisque. Trawl Nets cannot be attached to rafts.
The Trawl Internet is used for capturing small marine life and items on the water bed. Information technology has ix storage slots and drops upon being full. Information technology can exist detached manually before it is full, but it cannot be attached or retrieved once again. The histrion tin can click on a detached Trawl Net to open it and retrieve the contents. Detached Trawl Nets cannot be retrieved, and will sink ninety seconds later being detached, dropping any items it contains once it disappears. If the histrion fails to collect them before the Trawl Net sinks, any living creatures will die and their dead versions will drop instead. Items caught in the Trawl Cyberspace volition not stack even if they normally would in the inventory.
The Trawl Net is equipped in the same slot on a gunkhole every bit Sails, forcing the player to paddle the boat. A new item can exist caught in the Trawl Net for every 100 units traveled in any management. Each item caught reduces the role player's movement speed past about ii.8%, upwardly to a maximum penalization of about -25% with 9 items caught. Dragging the Trawl Internet over a Mussel spawn will yield a unmarried mussel and consume the spawn. Jellyfish, Rainbow Jellyfish and Wobsters tin can also exist defenseless with the Trawl Net by sailing close by them and catching them in the internet. Trawl Nets are the only way to acquire Seaweed Stalks. Bioluminescence can as well exist nerveless past the Trawl Cyberspace during the Sunset and the night time. The Quacken has a risk to spawn every time an item is collected in the deep ocean.
Additionally, items that sunk in the Ocean can be retrieved by sailing over them with an attached Trawl Net. These items will periodically generate bubbles to bespeak their location. Items can only exist retrieved this way if they didn't sink in the Deep Ocean, and less than 2 days take passed since they sunk. Items that remain sunk in the ocean after 2 days, are lost forever, and cannot be retrieved. Items sunk in Deep Body of water tiles are immediately lost and cannot be retrieved.

Tips [ ]
- When collecting Seaweed Stalks, the Seaweed itself should be harvested earlier sailing over it with the Trawl Cyberspace in order to relieve space. Otherwise, a Seaweed and a Seaweed Stem will be nerveless and accept up 2 slots in the cyberspace.
- Information technology is recommended to utilize faster boats when trawling for items. While the Trawl Internet is mutually exclusive with Sheet, you tin can still increase the boat's speed with items such as Walking Pikestaff, Sleek Hat equally well every bit speed boosting consumables such equally Java, Regal Groupers, Tropical Bouillabaisse, etc.
- If summoning the Quacken quickly is the intent, players can drib common items such as twigs and grass in front of their boat then canvass over them in the deep ocean to speed up the procedure.
- To get Pan Flutes or the Trident, trawling in deep water during Hurricane Flavor or Dry out Flavor is optimal, although there isn't too much difference in chances of getting them during Mild and Monsoon flavor.
- To get Gold Nuggets or Dubloons, trawling in medium water during Hurricane Flavour is best, with deep water during Balmy and Monsoon seasons close behind, and medium water in Dry Season.
- To go Obsidian, trawling in shallow water during Dry Flavor is best.
Trivia [ ]
- The intended maximum speed penalisation when using the trawl cyberspace is likely 25%, but because of the manner the speed punishment is programmed, it only reaches almost 22.two%, 8 ninths of 25%.
